Here is the quick answer. To create an event on IKYTA, open My Events in your teacher dashboard, click Add Event, and complete the form with your title, description, date, place and flyer. Then submit it for review. Once it is approved, your event goes live for the community to find.

Watch the video below, then follow the written guide at your own pace. Whether you teach a weekly sadhana, a weekend workshop or a full retreat, the steps are the same.

Prefer to see it first? This two-minute event tutorial for teachers shows every screen, from your dashboard to the finished event page. Pause at any step and return to the written guide when you need the details.

Here is what you will see:

  • Where to find Add Event in two clicks
  • How to write a title and description that invite people in
  • How to set dates, repeats, mode, type and languages
  • How to add an address, web links, co-teachers, a thumbnail and a PDF flyer
  • How to save a draft or submit your event for review

Share it with colleagues in your national association, too. It is a friendly way to welcome a fellow teacher who is about to list their first event.

Why teachers create an event on IKYTA

Your classes deserve to be found. When you create an event on IKYTA, you place your sadhana, workshop or training in front of a community that already values Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogui Bhajan

The form is designed to respect your time. You set a repeating schedule once, add co-teachers from a list, and keep a draft until you are ready. That leaves more energy for what matters most: teaching.

  • Repeat once, not every week. A weekly class needs a single entry.
  • Share the stage. Add co-teachers directly from the teacher list.
  • Work at your own pace. Save a draft and finish later.
  • Look inviting. Add a thumbnail image and a PDF flyer.
  • Reach further. Optionally list your event on 3HO.org for Premium Memberships

Create an event on IKYTA, step by step

The process has nine steps. Here they are, grouped in four short stages.

Start with your story

Everything begins in your dashboard. Open My Events and click the orange Add Event button. Two clicks, and you are in the form.

Next, tell people what your event is about. The title and description are required. The editor lets you use bold text, lists, links and pictures, so you can make your invitation warm and clear.

Add a description with what to expect, who is welcome and what to bring.

  1. Open My Events from your dashboard menu.
  2. Click Add Event.
  3. Write a clear title, such as “Sunrise Sadhana: Weekly Community Practice.”
  4. Add a description with what to expect, who is welcome and what to bring.

Set the when, the how and the where

Now give students the practical details. Choose the start and end date and time, then pick the time zone. If your event repeats, choose how often in the Repeats field. The start date counts as the first occurrence, and the schedule continues from there.

Then describe the format and add the place and your links:

  • Event Mode: for example, in person.
  • Event Type: for example, sadhana.
  • Languages: select one or several.
  • Event Address: street, postal code, country, state or region, and city.
  • Web Links: your website, Instagram or any other link, as many as you like.

Bring your co-teachers and make it irresistible

Teaching with others? Type a name in the co-teacher field to filter the list, select the teacher and click the plus button. If you leave it empty, you are added automatically.

Then add the finishing touches. Upload a thumbnail image (JPG or PNG max 2 MB) and, if you like, a PDF flyer that people can download and share (max 5 MB).

Save, submit and track your event

Don’t worry about missing something. The form flags any required field you have not completed. When you are ready:

  1. Click Save Draft to keep working later.
  2. Click Submit for Review when everything looks right.
  3. Follow your event under Pending Review in My Events.
  4. Once it is approved, your event page goes live with its categories, teachers and a contact form

Premium members have one more option. During the form, you will see the question “Do you want to publish this event on 3HO.org?” Choose Yes if the event should also be submitted to 3HO for review. Then confirm that it complies with the and reaffirm your commitment to its terms.

Prefer to keep it within our community? Choose No, and your event is published on IKYTA only.
