Practitioner
Level Two is a 300-hour program made up of five modules of 62 hours each. KRI recommends a minimum of two years to complete them. The modules can be taken in any order, and most teachers approach them gradually, choosing where to begin based on their own needs, questions, and life circumstances at the time.
The word that defines this level is transformation. Not the accumulation of new content, but a genuine shift in how the teachings are lived, expressed, and embodied. Level Two asks each participant to look directly at their habits, communication patterns, relationships, and mental tendencies — and to work with them through practice and discipline over time. This takes time by design. The depth this level asks for cannot be rushed, and the two-year minimum reflects that.
The training focuses on three interconnected areas: the projection of the teacher’s identity, the incorporation of the teachings into character and behavior, and the expansion of the teacher’s own state of consciousness. Upon completion, teachers earn the title of KRI Certified Practitioner of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®.
The Five Modules
Each module addresses a distinct area of personal and professional development. They can be completed in any order, and many teachers choose where to begin based on what feels most relevant to their current stage of practice and teaching.
Conscious Communication
Explores the use of language, listening, and presence. This module looks at how communication habits shape relationships and teaching, and supports teachers in developing a more direct, open, and responsible way of expressing themselves.
Mind and Meditation
Examines the structure and patterns of the mind and the role of meditation as a practical tool for working with them. This module supports teachers in understanding how their own mental tendencies affect their practice and their students.
Vitality and Stress
Studies the relationship between energy, the nervous system, and resilience. This module helps teachers understand how the body and mind respond to stress, and how consistent practice builds steadiness over time.
Authentic Relationships
Focuses on relationship patterns, projection, and responsibility. This module supports greater clarity in how teachers relate to students, colleagues, and community — starting with how they relate to themselves.
Life Cycles and Lifestyles
Explores the stages of life, personal habits, and discipline. This module helps teachers understand how practice can be sustained and adapted through different phases of life, and what it means to live the teachings rather than only teach them.
What It Means for Students, Studios, and Organizations
A Level Two certified teacher has continued their training beyond the foundation and has spent significant time applying the teachings in their own life. The five modules cover communication, the mind, energy, relationships, and lifestyle — areas that directly affect the quality of a teacher’s presence and their capacity to serve students with clarity and care.
For individuals, studios, and organizations, a Level Two certification indicates a teacher who has engaged with the teachings at a personal level, not only a technical one.
