About This Studio
Our in-person classes are held in a very special space on our property in Queensland.
My husband, Brett, built the shed for our yoga community, and over time, it has become so much more than just a building. One of my students began calling it “the temple,” and somehow the name just stayed.
It is warm, simple and a little bit rustic. More importantly, it is a space that has been created with a lot of love. Many hours of yoga have been practiced here. We have meditated together, shared teachings and spent time with one another after class.
It has also become a gathering place beyond the yoga itself. We hold morning teas and women’s circles here. At other times, class just flows into a cup of tea, a few nibbles and good conversation because no one is in a hurry to leave.
The quiet of the property gives you space to arrive properly. Surrounded by trees, you can settle in and give yourself fully to the practice.
The Temple is home to my regular Kundalini Yoga classes, workshops and gatherings throughout the year. It has grown alongside the community that practices here, which is probably why calling it a “yoga studio” has never felt quite right.
The shed may have been what Brett built, but the Sangat has made it what it is.
