Teacher
Level Three is a 1,000-day process. It is not a course in the conventional sense — there are no modules to complete in a set sequence, no new curriculum to absorb. The focus is on how the teachings are lived: through daily practice, service, community, and the ongoing refinement of character and consciousness.
By this stage, a teacher has usually spent years teaching, practicing, and participating in a community of practitioners. What Level Three asks is a sustained commitment to examining how the teachings are expressed through everyday actions, relationships, and responsibilities — with honesty and consistency over time.
Yogi Bhajan described the role of a teacher this way: “True spirituality, true knowledge, is not something that can simply be taught.” Level Three is built around that understanding. The work here is not transmitted through a manual. It is carried through lived experience, service, and presence over time.
The 1,000-day structure reflects a particular understanding of how deep change actually happens — not in bursts, but through consistency, repetition, and accountability within a spiritual community. Teachers at this level continue to refine the relationship between their practice and their daily life, between their inner state and how they show up for their students.
One of the central requirements of Level Three is the completion of the 21 Stages of Meditation, a KRI-approved course that forms an integral part of this level of training.
Upon completion, teachers earn the title of KRI Certified Teacher of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®.

A Level Three certified teacher has made a long-term commitment to the practice, service, and community that the teachings require. This certification reflects years of sustained engagement — not only with the content of Kundalini Yoga, but with the ongoing work of embodying it.
