Biography

Lana A. LaBonte is a disabled USAF veteran who attributes yoga and meditation for finding a deeper connection to her physical body and healing relief from living with chronic pain. Passionate about fitness, she started out promoting an active lifestyle teaching high-impact step & regular floor aerobics, kickboxing, bellydancing, and Pilates. Working in a high-stress environment, running was her moving meditation until the pain became too unbearable. In 2009 she was invited to a Hot Yoga class and knew she was in the right place to get her sweat on! As time went on, she found herself drawn to try other styles of yoga and in January 2011 she ventured to Nicaragua for her first Hatha/Vinyasa yoga teacher training. From there, she’s continued to evolve and learn as much as she could about herself in order to share these teachings with others. She is a teacher of Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga RYT-200, Kundalini Yoga Level 1 IKYT-200 and Level 2 IKYT-300, and has over 300 contact hours with Shiva Rea - Embodying the Flow: Elemental Vinyasa, Elemental Prana Vinyasa, and Soma Prana Vinyasa. She has also completed several rounds of the Beyond Addiction Course and assisted in facilitating.
She believes yoga is a gift that brings us closer to who we truly are; total connection of mind, body, and soul. Sharing this gift, her intention is awaken a yearning within her students to know thyself more.
