“The gong is the sound of Creativity itself. One who plays the gong plays the Universe.”
– Yogi Bhajan
Join us for a two day intensive gong training with Martha Collard, Founder of Red Doors Studio in Hong Kong, home of the largest collection of meditation gongs in Asia. She is a long time yogi, founding Chairman of the HK Yoga Society, KRI Instructor, professional facilitator and trainer.
Martha is a catalyst for emotional wellbeing. Modern man is in a constant state of stress and monkey minds prevent centring and grounding. The gongs allow us to find that quiet space within, offers deep relaxation and rejuvenation at all levels so that we may respond rather than react to the stressors in our lives. Conducting large events and teaching others to play, she aspires to reverse the tidal wave of mental ill health affecting the world today by offering simple, elegant, effective solutions that are ancient in origin.
Teaching with empathy and humor she shares her knowledge through a highly interactive workshop designed to empower you to facilitate a state of being that elicits healing and rejuvenation. She offers a variety of workshops including a short half day course, Gotta Hit a Gong; a 2 day Basic Gong Training which can be extended to 3 days; and 2 days of Playing With and For Others. This trip she will offer the Basic Gong Training.

This is an ideal workshop for those who wish to begin their gong journey with expert tuition in the powerful gong space! There will be plenty of opportunity to practice on a variety of gongs of varying size. Over the two days participants will have ample opportunity to deepen their own personal experience with this powerful transformative tool. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion that demonstrates basic understanding and knowledge of the art of gong.
About the Facilitator:
Throughout most of her adult life Martha pursued alternative practices initially out of curiosity, and then as a means of self-development. Her journey stretched from Reiki to TM, from Iyengar yoga to Vipassana, from labyrinths to gongs and much more. She was the founding Chairman of the Yoga Society of Hong Kong and has recently completed a Sound Therapy certification in the USA. She is expanding her knowledge by pursuing higher levels of yoga therapy training and sound healing. Her current focus is on the ancient practices of labyrinths, gong meditation and Kundalini yoga. Through these practices she found balance, strength and understanding. Leaving the world of corporate management consulting behind she founded Red Doors Studio in 2015 as a platform from which she shares her skills and knowledge with the community. Currently the studio serves as a bridge between old and new offering ancient practices such as yoga, walking meditation on labyrinths and deep relaxation with gongs to communities to uplift and transform by facilitating a sense of calm and peace.
