About the Weekend Events
The foundation of the weekend celebration begins with morning Sadhana each day.
What is sadhana? It’s a committed prayer. It is self-enrichment. It is not something which is done to please somebody or to gain something. Sadhana is a personal process in which you bring out your best.” -Yogi Bhajan

“The Adi Shakti Mantra tunes one into the frequency of the Divine Mother, and to the primal protective, generating energy. It is said that chanting it eliminates fears and fulfills desires.”* This meditation takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month. 62 minutes of Adi Shakti followed by live gong relaxation.

- 1 – 4 pm Stories of Yogi Bhajan with Krishna Kaur and Hari Darshan Singh: Travel back to the day when Yogi Bhajan personally guided his students by poking, provoking, and elevating them to be ten times more powerful than himself. Join Krishna and Hari Darshan, past Toronto Trainers of the KRI Teacher Training, for a throw back Kundalini Yoga class, Guru Ram Das Meditation led by Hari Darshan on guitar, and lots of personal stories of the early days of Kundalini Yoga in Toronto. Do you know someone who did their Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Krishna and Hari Darshan, help us spread the news about their return to Toronto for the 50th Anniversary and meet us there for a reunion. - 6 – 8:30 pm Long Chant Meditation: The “third Saturday of the month” tradition continues. All are invited to join us for our 2.5 hour “Long Ek Ong Kar” meditation. Chanting this mantra brings Kundalini awakening, opening of the chakras, and a sense of bliss. This mantra, in its Long Chant form (also called Long Ek Ong Kar or Morning Call), was the first mantra taught by Yogi Bhajan. He said it was the mantra of the Aquarian Age. Come by for food, music and fun with others who love Kundalini Yoga. A potluck and Yogi Tea will be provided by the Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association.
